Three arrested after a string of armed robberies
On March 23, police arrested three suspects who were about to rob a conveniece store on Arthur Sauvé Blvd at 9 p.m. Two of the suspects, Patrick Latella, 29, and Marie-Eve Girard, 26, were a couple who are believed to be responsible for nine robberies since March 7, at convenience stores and gas stations in Mirabel and Sainte-Therese. Police began their investigation on March 7, and say they stopped the couple before they committed their tenth robbery. At this point, the couple was with a third person, Danny Boucher, 23. When the three were arrested, a pellet gun was found. At the ninth robbery in Mirabel, Latelle is believed to have hit a clerk in the head with a weapon. All three have appeared in court and are being detained.
