The Dynamos brought home the bronze medal at the Provincials which took place in Farnham, Québec.

The Dynamos, Express of Laval, Bantam BB team deceived statistics by defeating the Cobras of Laval North in 2 games during the “Coupe Banque Scotia” regional finals.

The team, led by Coach David Leblanc, did not appear in favor of winning this championship but the players came together proving that anything is possible with teamwork. Finishing in 9th place in the Laurentides/Lanaudière league, the Dynamos had to follow the coaches’ game plan as they were confronting the Cobras who also hoisted themselves in 3rd place with 22 victories. The Cobras were tough opponents.

The Dynamos won their first game 3 – 2 with two goals by forward Matthew Yanakoulias and an extraordinary performance by goaltender Michael Luba. The Cobras were therefore facing elimination upon the second game of the series since it is the best 2 out of 3 series in the regional championship. During the second game, the Cobras were leading 3 – 1 in the second period but the Dynamos were able to make a come back and win the game 5 – 3 with there outstanding efforts, determination, desire and teamwork, allowing them to proudly raise the Scotia Bank Cup. Two goals by Joseph Perez, 1 goal and 3 assists by team captain David Archambault and 1 goal, 2 assists by forward, Giovanni Fiore. “All the players put in 100% effort and followed the game plan”, said assistant coach Leo Housakos. David Leblanc’s team is on their way to Farnham to proudly represent their region at the “Coupe Dodge” being held in the Estrie region.
