This month, Laval police will be targetting people who are using hand-held cell phones while driving. Using hand-held cell phones while driving was made illegal in May 2008. Since then, Laval police have issued 2,100 tickets, but say the public's habits are not changing. Drivers caught using cell phones can expect to be fined $115.
